Solutions are often found where you do not expect them. Real answers deal with the center of the problem, not the symptom. The question is do we realize that our problem of yesterday was solved before we are consumed by the next?
Is stress overwhelming you? Are the ever pressing bills, to-do items, and work getting to you? Do go to sleep sweating the details of the day, wondering how they are going to work themselves out? Are the demands becoming such a priority that everything else suffers including your spouse, kids, pets, and friendships?
The world talks about taking breaks, using techniques, and learning what tools can be access to manage stress. What about dealing with the root? What if God’s Presence helped you understand the past and gave you hope, real believable hope, for the next moment, day, and week? Could an injection of confidence and esteem based on how much God values you make a difference in how you look at and responded to attacks from those around you? If you knew, believed, and experiencially trusted God’s abiding Spirit, would that make a difference? God gives real solutions to stress.
Is the weight that comes with passing time a hassle and bother? Do you want to get rid of it? Have you ever figured out why you nibble and snack? Could it be that you enjoy food? Does it feels good and is generally quite comforting?
The world talks of diets and pills. God answer is to invite you and me to rest in Him, get to know Him, and then walk together. Tradition focused on the external, God on the heart.
