On every front, attention to details matter. Fashion designers careers pivot on the appearance of a single stitch in one location, the results totally change the look. The additional of one flavor changes the success of a dish in ways that the chef will often find difficult to describe. The nuances of success in every profession hinge on how well the individual or leader pays attention to the minute details.
The examples of how this plays out are incredible. Shackleton’s journey and survival on the frozen sea wouldn’t have been except for the fact that as a leader he worried about the small and minute things, knowing that the group’s very existence depended on the outcome. Churchill’s success in World War II again pivoted on the details. Henry Ford worried about the small details on the production line and the future of automobiles and even the United States changed as a result. Business leaders in virtually every industry identify and worry about small things and unusual, extraordinary success comes as a result!
There are many that believe that God sits high above and beyond the details of life. This perception isn’t new. God’s reaction to the individuals is the same across time. He reacted to the details on one situation with the following introduction.
“I see what you’ve done, your hard, hard work, your refusal to quit… I know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out.” (Revelation 2.1)
Are you interested in God’s feedback to the details of you life? When God gives you feedback, are you going to listen? Is the fact that God is interested in your life, and in mine, something about we need to worry?
The fact is that God is aware and interested in every detail of your life and mine. There is a level of knowledge and engagement that transcends my ability to understand. God knows, understands, and as a result Divine’s compassion, mercy, and love takes on even greater levels. The God I know is interested in you. In fact he loves you passionately.
