Anticipation

A lot is happening, especially when one looks to tomorrow!  Shipments will arrive, people will come, and new opportunities will overflow.  It is exciting!  It is also scary, filled with uncertainty, and unknown.  Regardless of your circumstance, your future is filled with new opportunities, uncertainties that will be wrapped in pain, and the unknown.  You and I will engage – in one way or another.
 
It is hard to know what one should tell another about tomorrow.  Do I tell someone younger of my journey – including the ups and downs, awesome moments of beauty, or dark nights of struggles?  Do I let my fears become their fears?  Is there anything useful from past that will guard them in their steps?
 
The standard financial warning applies to my past; yesterday’s performance is not an indication of what might happen tomorrow. 
 
There are warnings we, you and I, should take with us.  They are quite simple yet they do have a profound impact on any and every journey.
 
First, remember the warning; “‘Doom, rebel children!’  God's Decree.  ‘You make plans, but not mine.  You make deals, but not in my Spirit.  You pile sin on sin, one sin on top of another.”  (Isaiah 30.1) 
 
Second, recall always how God is with you – with each step, in every moment,  in good and bad.  There is no place where we might God that God will not be with us.  There is no attitude we can take that God has not heard in one way or another.  In short – we are God’s kids. 
 
Third, walk – with deliberation, intent, and intensity!  Engage in life, don’t just passively let it go by.  Live – fully, deeply, and completely.  Anticipate the future but always live in the present. 
 
The dawn is upon us.  It is time to step into a new day.  My prayer is with you – that you experience God and live life to the maximum.  God is with you – The Spirit is part of your life.  Sense, feel, and breathe God with every fiber of your being.
