Creations

It is exciting, rewarding, and amusing to see first time visitors to our new office space in Singapore.  The expressions are especially intense with the individuals that have been involved with the group in New York.  In New York we are still struggling with borrowed space and all the “stuff” that comes with being in temporary lodgings.  In Singapore, architects, specialized vendors, engineers, sub-contractors, and a general contractor worked in an incredible way to create a space reflecting the heart and soul of the company.  The surprise is easy to read; I have yet to meet an individual that merely thought expectations were being met.  Tower 2 is beyond whatever he or she thought would ever be.
I often find myself surprised by what can be.  This is especially true with music, photography, and art.  I have friends in each area that I deeply admire and respect.  I know they are talented.  I have no doubts about their abilities.  Yet somehow I find myself repeatedly surprised by the reality of their creative expressions!  He or she easily blew by my artificial boundaries.  He or she effortlessly went in a direction that I did not imagine possible.  He or she created something filled with trust, power, and at its core God. 
Who could have imagined?  Who could have believed without seeing, experiencing, and being in the presence?  Who could have started out on this journey, trusting the Spirit guide?
The simple answer I find myself wrestling with is this; God.  God knew and knows.  God saw and can see.  God acts, then and now.  “Afflicted city, storm-battered, unpitied: I'm about to rebuild you with stones of turquoise, lay your foundations with sapphires, construct your towers with rubies, your gates with jewels, and all your walls with precious stones.”  (Isaiah 54.11, 12) 
Just imagine; we are one of Divinity’s creations.Just imagine; God sees us as we are and in the fullness of everything we can be.Just imagine; God loves us now and forever more.
We, you and I, are Divinity’s creation.  It’s a great surprise.
