I have a dream that will not die. The premise is simple; I am part of an organization that delivers seven-star service. At every level, our clients recognize us for the experience they have when they work with us. We candidly tell our clients that we are not the cheapest in town. We gently remind them that we believe our service gives them an economic reason to deal with us. In the greater scheme of their business/life, we make business easier. In our area of expertise, we look out for their interest. Their success and ours are aligned!
The dream was rekindled by a simple email I received as a confirmation to an order. In the details was a note I almost missed. To compensate you for the shipping expense, we have added an extra box of product. For my twenty dollars of expense related to international shipping, I received sixty dollars of product! I had not made a request. I had not complained. A simple gesture reminding me that someone wanted to be the best.
Each time I experience great service I remind myself that financial service companies could learn about “more”. A spiritual analogy highlighted the tension between an internal focus and one that includes others. “When you pray in your private prayer language, don’t hoard the experience for yourself. Pray for the insight and ability to bring others into that intimacy.” (1 Corinthians 14.13)
My dream is that I am part of an organization that uses insights and expertise as bankers, brokers, and service providers to make a fundamental difference for our clients. We do not do it because we need to. We do it because it is part of our DNA. We are here to service; this is our purpose! We price our services for a reasonable rate of return; this keeps us alive to do more. We learn, grow, and always reach for more. As a client, you experience something different. Working with us is financially rewarding to all parties. What is inside us now is available to all.
