I listened to the conversation and found myself increasingly puzzled.
“We need to develop presentations for client scenario 1. We will also need a presentation for alternative scenarios 2 and 3. Then there are the numbers to go with them.”
I recalled sharing earlier versions of each document. In my indirect answer, I provided an update on my emails related to the subject. With each note, there was an affirmation and nod.
What did I miss? Once I started down this path, Life began to whisper. If you slow down and take time to reflect, you will see what has been provided for you.
Initially, I was sure I would not find anything. My first lesson was a reminder of how blind I can be when I do not take the time consider. Even if one is confident about the next steps in one’s journey, one should always be open to the possibility that there is more. In my case, several revelations quickly followed to reinforce the point.
I am often unsure what I should do next. Divinity and Life are whispering, but I do not seem to be listening. As I slowed down, several voices reached out to walked me through my options. Each was personal, direct, and far too insightful! Guiding wisdom is often very close and yet until I was ready and willing to listen, Wisdom kept its silence.
My view of the future always includes options and alternatives. As clear as my line of sight can be, in my wisdom conversations, each shared a view which I could not presently see. Even as I expanded my view, I realized there was even more.
As I work to progress each day, there is a natural tendency to see life through a single lens, mine. As I considered the world here as well as the ones shared by others, I find myself reflecting on a grander design which lays out provisions for each. Accepting each will lead to more. As “the sun to watch over the day, His [Divinity’s] love never quits.” (Psalm 136.8)
