The tissue box delivery came with a surprise wrapper and reminder that translates literally as – “Great Choice, My Love.” I knew it was a great choice with the price discount and the free bonus items. Regardless, I smiled and laughed in response to the familiarity expressed through the wrapping by an unknown seller. It was a fun reminder of how far life goes in reminding us of our great choices.
Expressions of love are captured in sunsets, flower blossoms, and the twinkle of an eye. One knows the feeling that these sights can bring. With more than words, love is written on one’s heart and across one’s soul in ways one cannot fully describe. Each etching leaves us with an emotional print that will never be entirely erased. It is as if Divinity has gifted us with a surprise wrapper on expressions of love in all its forms.
Each gift of love is complete within itself. I find myself wanting to experience it again, a first love that never ends. I realise that hope lives in the universal nature of love. Every person carries a thirst for it. When received, each is transformed by their experience. In this reality, Divinity took steps for one and all; “It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process.” (Hebrews 10.14)
Everyone is eligible for love. Each new generation finds its way of expressing and receiving love, relationships, and belonging. It is in this discovery that one has an opportunity to experience Divinity and all she represents. It is more than just receiving. To fully receive, one will complete the cycle by giving. There is a mystery in the journey to know with one’s heart and soul that love is not just within one; it is found in relationships and community.
Thank you, Habibi, for the reminders as my day unfolds with a sunrise. I know I made a great choice.
