“Keep me safe, O God, I’ve run for dear life to you.” Psalm 16.1
God is amazing.
God’s ways use people I never guessed could be agents of God.
God brings children on a quest close to Him and will not let go, no matter what.
Twenty years ago, these three statements would be puzzling. I would not believe. I would not know how to prove. I would not know how to describe.
Today, I understand, I believe, I can prove through experience, and I am still not sure how I can describe.
I made, in a fresh way during Christmas, a decision of commitment. My commitment included aspects of priority, activity, focus, and ultimate inner passion. I know, without a doubt, the thing I desired most in life is an active faith based grace relationship with God.
Words that offer little meaning on the Monday or Saturday in people’ lives, but my words.
God heard my words and, in retrospect, gave me a gift of Spirit glue. Glue that expressed, in tangible ways, just how important I am to Him. And now I say –
God is amazing.
God’s ways use people I never guessed could be agents of God.
God brings children on a quest close to Him and will not let go, no matter what.
God drew me into His circle in the midst of chaos last night through a conversation with someone who says she does not believe God is for her. God reminded me of my role when she threw out the gauntlet in challenging me to introduce God to her.
God washes my tired soul with gentle, kind, and interesting male camaraderie. A friend continues to express quiet confidence in who I am. He is also sharing a little more of who he is and what he values. He is earning the right for a hearing to share his God. Another traveler reminds me of our journey and steps to come.
God is everywhere drawing me closer.
God is doing the same for you. How do you see Him working today?
