“The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy.” Psalm 19.10
Coming home is always a treat. Coming home has several obvious benefits however there are links with the intangibles of life. I believe the intangibles are the true map markers for day to day living. Intangibles are also the answers to many of our life questions.
Do I carry hope with me day to day?
Can I experience grace each day? Who delivers? Do I keep or share this grace?
Do I believe someone loves me? What do they expect in return? Can anyone’s love be unconditional?
The flight from London last night was a reflection step. The ripples of God’s touch continue to adjust my life-map. My taste for experiences is different since this touch and I find myself surprised in the experience. Activities, food, and experiences attractive in the past are no longer enjoyable. Quiet God centered events bring the joy and peace I always sought. Reflecting in God’s arms renewed my strength as I began to anticipate being with the family.
God’s touch gives one hope. God gives each grace as they are willing to receive. God loves us unconditionally.
Each statement carries a caveat. Will we let God touch our heart? Will we accept grace from God? Do we believe, with a heart and head belief, that God loves us without conditions? Are we willing to go beyond our comfort zone? Do we want to be touched?
David knew the answer to the three core questions. Is it a good idea? Can the idea work? What do we expect to happen?
Is letting God touch us a good idea? Can a relationship with God actually work? What happens when God touches us and we have a relationship?
David’s answer was to let God touch him, to have a relationship, and walk in faith. The key act of faith is in trusting in God’s plan for our lives and His power and will to make it happen.
God is a good idea.
God makes it work.
God’s life-map brings joy.
