It is easy to walk by the flowers. They come in the most surprising places. An unexpected gift of kindness, a dandelion blossoming in the most unexpected place, and flowers growing where no other plants seem to survive. The hassles of trying to survive and deal with people who are unable to be honest filter the beauty that is all around us. We have incredible gifts in our possession, however the challenges still there.
Relationships are one of the most unique and rare gifts. We have people in our lives that love us for who we are, accept us when we are angry, and understand when we fail. On days when things are good, we remember and express our appreciation. Too often, we walk on by, blissfully ignorant of the beauty around us. Everyone falls into the trap at some point. Solomon did. I often do. The pattern is visible in the relationships around me.
Focusing on the moment and everything God has given you and I, is one of the most important things we can do in life. We have moments to experience the Divine. There are opportunities to understand unconditional love. Awareness is there for us to experience.
Awareness extends into the full completeness of life. Waking up, walking around, going to work, and taking care of the mundane details of the daily journey are all part of the process. So to is the mystery that passes between man and woman. Take time to be aware. Follow the Wisdom: “Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose – don’t ever quit taking delight in her body.” (Proverbs 5.19)
Today is a fresh day with new opportunities. What we make of the moments in the day is totally up to you and I. We carry freedom and opportunity. We have possessions beyond our imaginations. There is a moment waiting for you and I to explore and enjoy, right now.
I have few answers in dealing with the challenges. I do know that we can make a difference, if only to our self and those around us.
