Life is full of perplexing problems with no answers. They show up in every aspect of our lives! Options, choices, and what is going on around us seems to open one up to far more questions than there are answers. From my experience, many, no most of the questions have no scripted answer. Life does not come with a playbook. The wonderful, frustrating, and ultimately exhilarating aspect of living life to the full is the opportunities that come with freedom to write the details of our lives. The irony is that this wonder is filled with conundrums that often defy understanding, analysis, or easy answers.
As I face several conundrums in my journey, I find three mantras in my life make the size and complexity of perplexing problems more manageable. First, I am not the first one to encounter a problem like this. Conundrums cross generations, cultures, and all kinds of situations. It is easy to look back and imagine that those before us had it easy. Candidly, they didn't! Often their situations were even more confusing than our lives are today. When one group encountering a strange situation, “They talked it over: 'What can we do with these men? By now it's known all over town that a miracle has occurred, and that they are behind it. There is no way we can refute that.'” (Acts 4.16) Nobody knew what to do.
Second, The answer to conundrums can be found in relationships and process. We do not have to solve it alone. God is here; ready to be a difference in our life. Divinity's Spirit is a part of your life and mine. People are within reach that can, do, and are willing to help.
Third, problems do not always disappear. Some take time to resolve, even years. Being patience with problems, especially complex ones, is always a good thing.
Today's dawn brings a window to make a difference, to exercise freedom. While a few conundrums linger, they do not need to shape and determine our lives. Everything is possible. Anything can and will happen.
