The past days contained storms of all kids. England is flooding in ways it never imagined. Uncertainty and anticipated turmoil rocks virtually everyone in the workplace. Scandal dogs sports figures and politicians alike. Pressures are wrapping around us, constricting our movements and thoughts. Relief seems a long way off, sometimes almost like a dream.
Yet, today the dawn comes with blue skies, a yellow-orange glow, and a sense of hope. I saw the early signs yesterday. The team of managers at work moved as one, taking in each challenge one and at time, confronting and dealing with the issues at hand. They carried a sense of excitement and hope. Dawns are like that.
On other fronts, people who I had communication gaps with called and things came back into focus. We left, with the first, and again with the second, and then yet again, encouraged by our dialogues and mutual sense of hope for the future. The challenges are still here, as large and difficult and insurmountable as ever. However, we know we will tackle them together.
Some people take all this in and talk about karma, good vibes and luck. I know otherwise. I know that God is behind it all, for those who believe and know Him as well as those who do not. He loves each of us equally, no matter how strong our doubts and fears are. He solution is simple. In the past he says, “I took on the troubles of the troubled.” (Romans 15.4) He does it for you and then again for me. As often as we need Him, He is there. Dawns are like that.
