What would you do with $500,000? How about getting $1,000,000? Does the dream change if the amount goes to $500,000,000 tax-free? Oh, I forgot; you are not greedy! Just $50,000 tax-free would do. The question remains; what would you do?
We all dream. There is nothing wrong with this! It is good to imagine a life without the debts hanging overhead. I enjoy the imagination game; living with new feelings, a new game, and different stuff. In this world money often plays the essential role because it appears to be the catalyst and permission-granting element. I like going through the experience! I can help create dreams for others. I get to skip most of the politics that make days a drag. Enjoyment, peace, and a sense of fulfillment are just around the corner. Life is easy!
I know the skeptics would tell me that money would not solve my problems or eliminate the hurdles that sit in my path each day. I know that many of my problems are one that I alone created. I know that money gives me the power to make a very big mess of things. I know these potentials exists; but, oh to have this problem!
My dreams always center on creating even more dreams, helping others, enjoyment, peace, and a sense of fulfillment. I wonder if how I would answer the question Solomon faced. I wonder what one wish I would express if the world were completely open to me. Would I ask for a million dollars or perhaps a billion? Do I think that I could put myself aside and ask for something that benefited someone else?
My dreams became Solomon's reality. God asked him what one thing he wanted. Young Solomon knew without a doubt. “Grant me wisdom”.
God can give you and I the power to realize our dreams. Think through Solomon's experience. Wisdom's “value exceeds all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.” (Proverbs 3.15) What do you want? What would you give up everything for?
Dream. Dream deep.
