Everything on the table was intended to be consumed by tailoring the dish to one’s preference. Even the outcome of the process was not meant to last. Everything on the table was part of the process of consuming and enjoying. As I waited, I listened to whispers reminding me that life was more than a time to use and enjoy. As today starts, I see milestones, new chapters, and hope. Everything points to the doorway that leads to more.
Happiness transcends events and time. When I am willing to reach for enduring happiness, I discover satisfaction in a well-lived life. There is purpose and peace. Life helped me find the link between caring to make a difference and the path to happiness. They are always connected.
One’s purpose and calling are always within. I have found a consistent thirst to gift others with what I seek in good times and bad. Acceptance is a longing that I can offer with each interaction. Respect is a close friend of Belonging. With acceptance and respect on the table, the giver and receiver experience the wonder of community. It began with the longings of one’s soul, the call to purpose that each will find if they seek. We are cast; “Jesus’ priesthood is permanent. He’s there from now to eternity” (Hebrews 7.24). We are called.
Eternity is a long time and a destination. In the steps we take, it can fill like an eternity. Each step is our opportunity to be kind, to make caring decisions, and to create friendships. We are not competing because we can all win. It is my greatest calling and purpose to help others win. As I take this mantle, I discover I am part of a family sharing the load. With each step together, I am energised. As each day passes, I realise my heart is restored through kindness and care, gifted and given.
Today is an opportunity for celebration. We are here, and there are opportunities to come in each moment. We are part of a bigger story with an eternal outcome.
