It is amazing to watch pure-hearted people; they are true spiritual leaders and followers, even if they do not know it. One of the natural outcomes of their being is the number of people that enjoy being in their company. Just coming into their presence gives you a sense that their journey and words are consistent. You intuitively know in your heart that you want to be in their company. Even when you disagree with them you are willing to give them space to be themselves and get on with life.
I listened to someone yesterday like that. The specifics do not matter much, yet the insight into God’s hands and voice is important. God uses a wide variety of personality types to reach out to you and me. The Divine understands the diversity of his children and finds every means possible to restore them to their full potential. Our thirst is real; so is our sense of finding another who shares the journey towards God.
“God loves the pure-hearted and well-spoken; good leaders also delight in their friendship.” (Proverbs 22.11)
Reality suggests that there are many around us that are being used by God. Sometimes it is only for one act, choice, or decision; with others it is for sustained periods of time. Regardless of the duration we have an opportunity to respond, to give on to others, and to allow the power of the experience to change us from the inside out. These are amazing opportunities that will never be repeated in exactly the same way.
I walk away from the experience reflecting on the opportunities that come along everyday to you and me; we can freely give to others what we have received. We will never lose; in fact, we create room within us to receive even more from God.
Today the fog is already clearing in the morning dawn. The opportunity is here, now, for you and me to let God’s arms lift us up. This is a priceless opportunity; nothing is more important or as life changing. Your choice is next.
