“You make me so happy, God. I saw your work and I shouted for joy. How magnificent your work, God! How profound your thoughts!” Psalm 92.4,5
It would be great to wake up and know every that for every difficulty in life there was an easy way out, for every pain quick relief. I look out on the crisp sunshine and pale blue skies knowing that the pains are still there and the hurdles are just as large as they were late last night. It is great to wake up and know that the answer for the pain is already here. It is awesome to know that we will overcome the hurdles. It is simple really, God.
The other day I saw man’s historical response to a challenge. I spent time wandering through the world’s best Tank Museum. All types of tanks, from the first tank ever built through to recent machines, were on display to see and touch. At lunch, we watch tanks dancing around on display, staging a mock battle. Awesome machines, big, strong, quick, powerful! The best tank will not help in times of pain or difficulty. They will not make one bit of difference.
Yesterday I saw a friend reach out to another. He did not know about the need until recently, and responded with quick action. As simple as this action is, it is an effort worthy of God. I believe it is God in action. I believe this is something that will be a palm for pain and help overcome the hurdles of life. It is simple really, God in action through man.
This morning I awoke to a Sabbath Psalm. I see God is action all around me and I am stunned into silence. I wonder at my doubt, yet pause at my hesitancy to be God’s hands, voice, and ears. God knows our needs and provides the rays and bolts of encouragement just when we need them. Life is unfair. We deserve the best! God agrees, and is working to get us the very best for all time.
