Worshipping is a treat, and good worship is a special treat that beats every indulgence! I am never sure what one will find in worship. Worship is a mystery often clouded in boredom, repetition, or rote activity. Not yesterday!

The formula for worship is really quite simple. Add a few people and at least one instrument (at least a few human bodies or voices). Stir them together in an expression of human emotions and statement of something toward God. The words and expressions will vary. Some present will find it relevant, others not. The length often stretches beyond a group’s comfort zone, however the opportunity to see still seems present.

In my own experience, I find that worship provides insights that cannot be seen anywhere else. I find my eyesight changing, not sure of what it saw, however knowing insights with absolute confidence. If I had opened my mind, I would have known something was going to happen, but I did not. The combination of songs and prayer were good; however, it gook someone seeking prayer with God knowing that if I would be the vehicle my fog would clear. How can I describe the link?

I sang my way with family right into the presence of God. An experience that always brings tears to my eyes. As I helped serve donuts in the break, I found myself talking to a friend – tempting him to take part. As the time for prayer ministry began, I saw the same friend seeking prayer and I knew with certainty what God wanted to say to him. Praying, blessing, and giving the assurance of love and acceptance broke through my own blindness. Why did I not see this before?

“By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being.” (Romans 1.20)

God is looking for you with an intensity that will melt walls. Every act of turning towards God is worship. Look out!
