Dealing with facts is difficult, even when both sides know and are willing to admit the truth. How does one describe multiple levels of reality in our times? Is there an easy way to understand and communicate the details of a complex set of facts when nothing automatically captures the nuances? Can one account for differing ways of seeing, comprehending, and reacting to life when there is an attempt to describe a particular event?
Even if both sides share a common vision, motivations, and awareness of the opportunity the process is difficult to impossible! If you add differing views to the equation anyone’s ability to transcend the immediate is virtually impossible!
This makes the value of calling things for what they are something that is truly priceless! If you find someone that will listen through the blunt statement of facts and is then willing to sit and discuss reality you are in a state that is a true human miracle! There is nothing about the process on either side that is natural or easy. Yet the potential opportunity can best be described as great, awesome, and mysterious. In knowing what actually is we can do something! By understanding the situations actions, choices, and decisions can be taken! Ignorance can be banished.
God takes the first step in our lives. I find myself in awe because it would have been so easy for God to take the easy way out and tell you and I that everything is just fine, that Divinity would solve the details, and that everyone would live happily ever after, yet that is not the message. It is what it is.
“I wouldn’t know it by looking at your busywork; nothing of God’s work has been completed. Your condition is desperate. Think of the gift you once had in your hands, the Message you heard with your ears—grasp it again and turn back to God.” (Revelation 3.2)
God acts with courage and honor. What will we do in response? Our answer comes moment by moment, day by day.
