“Invitation Only” parties are objects of desire for many people in London. People strive to get on “the” list, gossip flies if you make it, and most of the daily newspapers have dedicated people following the events. Sports figures, actors, and politicians are vying for the top spot!
I know that I am not on a single list for the weekend celebrations. I was not invited, I did not work to get on a list, I am sure nobody will miss me, and I do not expect that anyone will even think of reconsidering. The fact that I am and will not receive an invite is ok. I probably would not enjoy the parties, I would not know anyone there, and I am not into socializing with the elite.
Actually, I misspoke. I am on a list for a weekend celebration. It is easy to forget because it is so easy to get on the list, just be a living human being! God’s party occurs every weekend and we are invited; along with kings, leaders, important people, angels, warriors, and even sea dragons! Sounds like a great party to me!
Now I do realize that most people hold the party very rarely or on a run of the mill type day. They also spend a lot of time and effort trying to exclude us. I also know of the occasional party that excels on being dull. I am not sure if He actually makes any of these parties, but who can say? Who cares really? God is big enough for all types!
God said he would come to ours so lets celebrate! God’s favorite time is Saturday and everyone is invited. We can make as much noise as we want, dress how we feel comfortable, and most of all be real! God is looking to party with us and he will bring the favors. Are you ready?
