During the past 96 hours I have been back into a corner defending agreements and personal rights. I believe that I stand on my word; if I make an agreement with you I am not going to change the rules even if circumstances move against me. I expect that others will do the same. I know that my expectations are not always going to be met however I hoped that the number of times I would face an adversary would be few and far between. First Monday, then Tuesday I faced people who blatantly changed the rules of the game to suit their needs and desires.
Are we walked through the circumstances it quickly became clear that my counterparties were not interested in looking to find the truth; they just wanted their money.
In the end the facts were clarified and honor came out on top. In one case it was through the intervention and help of a facilitating corporate manager, in the other is was a bit of guilt. It seems odd the simplest problem took over six hours to solve, however that is the game placed out for the sake of a buck.
God made a promise to you and me. In fact he made it to every human being that has and will ever live. Included in this promise is our unconditional acceptance by the Divine, eternal relationship, and a Spirit guide and teacher.
It would be easy to assume that we are not part of the process but we are! We have a role to play in God’s work in our own life as well as the wok going on in the lives of others.
Given that we are participating in this with God it is prudent to understand what is at risk if we help the other side. The warning is clear – “Don’t stealthily move back the boundary lines or cheat orphans out of their property, for they have a powerful Advocate who will go to bat for them.” (Proverbs 23.11)
Remember, God advocates mercy and restoration for all.
