Released

It is an extraordinary experience when you experience the touch of an empowered individual.  During the past few days, I have experienced the servant leadership gifts of a flight attendant, a taxi driver, Starbuck's Barista, and consultant.  The contrast with individuals that do not believe they are empowered is extreme.  During the same period, I interacted with sales people who did not care if they sold anything, consultants that were only in the relationship for the money, employees who do not realize they are part of a team, taxi drivers only interested in getting from point a to b as fast as possible, and restaurants that did not seem to know why they were in business.  In the first experience, freedom reigned, happiness and peace were present, and hope lived.
I have no interest in the latter.  I feel a sad type of compassion that wishes that they knew more knowing that they already have more.  The difference is one of releasing the freedom that resides in each of us.  Divinity gave you and I the ability to choose our path, to make our relationships, and to live.  Whatever follows is the outcome of our freedom choices.  We can be a positive force for change in every circumstance.  We can be a compassionate supporter of every individual that crosses our path.  We can be, if we choose.
I find myself waking in the darkness just before dawn, eager to take on the day.  There are huge unknowns in front of me.  Several obstacles are overwhelming my heart and soul.  I do not anticipate that these will change.  Yet, I find myself whispering the words that others have said before me, “take care of their threats and give your servants fearless confidence in preaching your Message, as you stretch out your hand to us in healings and miracles and wonders done in the name of your holy servant Jesus.”  (Acts 4.30)  I step out knowing that I have been released in Divinity's name.  I am free to live, choosing the actions of the present.  Everything is possible.
