Results

In today’s world everyone is looking for or promising short term results, like now!  Politicians harp on how simple certain solutions are – you should have them immediately, if not yesterday.  Corporate demands all focus on this year, quarter, month, and even today.  Everyone seems to be forgetting how we create our life legacy with the decisions that come in the grace of this moment.  It is time that paints your soul.  It is time which heals wounds, addresses injustice, and solves real problems. 
 
I am fortunate.  I can see my legacy of parenting unfolding and it is richer, far more beautiful, and beyond anything I ever dreamed of imagining.  I would be the last person to suggest Carli and Whitney are perfect.  They have their flaws but they seem to add to the overall wonder more than distract.  I find myself seeing the best Cherry and I had to offer while discovering new bits of character I always hoped I might have but never seemed able to grasp.  It is as if a painting is unfolding and it is clear my imagination was no where near big enough!  Something of the Divine coupled with their soul has mysteriously and miraculously united to form wonderful people filled with compassion, love, and a passion for life.
 
I am also fortunate in my work.  I can see a legacy of my vision unfolding through those who grasp its best and took it beyond anything I imagined.  I had big dreams.  Their dreams were even bigger!  They have taken my intensity and found balance.  They have used my skills to develop stronger and better ones.  Their hearts sense and feel the vision as strong as mine at its best.
 
I know this isn’t a result of anything within me.  My personal flaws are too deep and obvious.  I can testify and witness to the fulfillment of Jesus’ words and promise made generations ago; “This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.”  (John 15.8)
