Today I placed a bet on the table. I am not sure if even I realize just how big the bet is and will prove to be. However, I doubt that I can underestimate just how significant this point will be when I look back and write the history of my experience in London. Today I gave promotions to the key players I work with, placing all my cards on the belief that they can and will continue to work beyond everyone’s imagination.
Today is a day when the clich? of being a time to “rock and roll” comes into reality. The challenges ahead of us are immense. The distances covered during the past year are awesome. Our ability to pull everything together, and win as a team, is still somewhat in doubt. Our failures, past, present, and future, are out in the open for all to see. We have the opportunity to shine or crash and burn. What it will be is at best a guess.
In many ways, my fears about my bet follows the fears I carry about God. How does God really view me? Are my failures, past, present, and future, going to haunt me? Is it truly possible for me to achieve greatness beyond everyone’s imagination? Do the answers to my situation also apply to your reality and journey?
I find it difficult to believe that “Christ arrives right on time to make this [everything] happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready.” (Romans 5.6) The fact remains that even though I find it hard to believe God’s plan for you and me is reality! We do not have any role except as a participant in winning!
It is possible to achieve greatness beyond everyone’s imagination? Yes!
Does the answer to life apply to you in the same way as to me? Yes!
Are our failures going to haunt us? No, God knows it all and gives each of us the opportunity equally.
Is it time to rock & roll with God. Without a doubt, yes!
