Passionate people are ruthless. Involved people are ruthless. Winners are ruthless. Are you:
Learning about new parts of a corporation always puts me into a reflective loop. How are different parts of the family similar; how are they different? What functions do they share in common? Why do the differences exist and is the difference important?
I listened to a winning coach describe the process he went through in winning. Beyond the obvious changes there was a thread that permeated everything he did. The team and coach shared a common goal; being number one in the world. In order to get to that goal they did things together that they would have naturally never even been willing to consider. They thought differently, by consciously choosing to see and experience life through others eyes. They behaved differently, by finding new roles within the family that aligned with their strengths and interests. They worked as one unit, the greatest serving others, the strong manning the wheel, and others fitting in as integral parts of a whole. Above all else they worked; worked harder, better, faster, more effectively, and more as one than they ever thought possible.
In the struggle to live we face a simple choice. Will we do it alone or part of a community. It is as simple as that. Single or partner? We or me? Inside or outside?
With choice we then have the opportunity to pursue winning. What do people and forces do who want to win? “They storm the city, swarm its defenses, loot the houses, breaking down doors, smashing windows.” (Joel 2.9) Nothing stands in their way! No obstacle is too high, too broad, or too different.
I want to live life to the maximum. I want to win and win everything. I love the intensity, passion, and creativity that are parts of this process. If I want to have it all then community is “the” answer. Imagine a community with all humanity and Divinity itself as members. Guiding principles? No question here; compassion, love for others, unconditional acceptance, mercy, and reliance.
