“Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise, who shout on parade in the bright presence of God. Delighted, they dance all day long; they know who you are, what you do – they can’t keep it quiet!” Psalm 89.15,16
England is a land known for rain and wind. People warn visitors on a sunny London afternoon that this may be summer in total. Visitors react to these warnings as we all do to hype and propaganda. We know there is an element of truth, however the facts are very different. Londoners know that summer may exist for a single day or occasionally a single week in the best of years. They know these facts, they understand the reality, and they accept what will be for them with courage and a smile.
This summer is an exception! Each morning the good and the bad awake to bright blue skies and clear, crisp sunshine. The sight of crystal clear air, bright green trees, puffy clouds, and houses standing in colors people do not recognize is a wonderful gift of energy to anyone who cares to notice. Given the passing of seasons within a day, life is continues to be green on all levels. It is does cause one to wonder about summer facts!
God’s portrayal comes in many different colors and scenes. The range of colors is tremendous, stormy and dark, bright and airy, intense with bright colors. Everyone represents their portrait as the one most accurate. People say life will improve if we believe in the accuracy of their God vision. Over time people know God only through their wondering acquaintances. There is little first hand knowledge and even less personal experience. God is what we perceive him to be. It is a fact you know.
My experience tells me that most portrayals are at best fiction. Sight only comes to those who seek and find passwords of praise. You will know when you find these people – they are dancing all day long and bubbling with songs of praise, grace, and love! They have sight!
