One person’s restaurant review comments caught my eye; “The location is on a side street in a questionable part of town.  The signage is not that good.  When we discovered that we had found what we were looking for, frankly speaking, I had my doubts.  After being there, my advice is to seek and you will find the incredible!  This place is amazing, wonderful, and has left me with memories that will last forever.”

I do not think I have ever read a review like this about any restaurant, especially a vegetarian one.  I wondered what could be that different.  After six decades of vegetarian eating, I have to come to think that I have tried everything across the spectrum.  Additionally, the idea that one would find something this exceptional in a questionable part of a town that a decade ago struggled to offer vegetarian food was almost beyond belief.

After visiting, I agree with virtually every word in reviewer’ remarks.  Yes, it is a bit difficult to find.  There should be no doubt, it is located in a questionable part of town!  In my case, going with a large group brought a measure of comfort.  Yes, the signage is poor.  We walked by the venue twice before figuring out that we were where we were supposed to be.  Then there is the food.  Quotes from our meal include the following.

“Wow, I have never tasted anything like this!  It is amazing.”

“Incredible!  I can taste two or three seasonings, but there are more.  What do you think?”

“This dish is different than anything I have ever tasted.  I love it!”

I found myself stunned.  Unique, wonderful, and amazing.  The conversation that evening matched the food.  It was as if the experience of eating invited sharing and laughter.  As we walked back, I realized it was as if we had received a divine gift through the hands and inspiration of the chefs and staff; “wine to make people happy, their [our] faces glowing with health, a people well-fed and hearty.” (Psalm 104.15)

The glow remains.
