I sat down to breakfast this morning and found myself transported to Provence. In my mind, I was breaking bread again, silently listening to the movement of nature, and resting in the safe space that only those you love and trust can bring. I realised there were several vehicles. Food, flowers, and the stillness within me were just the beginning. Each was a touchpoint and channel between life in the moment and the start of a perfect day. As I noted the ways as realised the vehicles between the present and the space in my mind were endless.
As I look forward to today, I know there will be opportunities to transport lessons, hope, and courage to the moment at hand. As I anticipate the moments, I find myself reflecting on the lesson reminders that can help guide me.
Hope, love, and care are here to guide, in the darkest moments as well as the brightest. It is in the little things that Divinity can speak with clarity. The rose whispered notes of care and compassion. The food took me to community and belonging. The stillness within reminds me of the possible. In the little things of life, Divinity reaches out and we write our stories. In the moments when no one notices, we reveal our hearts and the beliefs written there.
Some moments and situations transport us to opportunities to learn and grow. Sometimes, it is difficult. As an example, there are times when “the government [is] working to your advantage. But if you’re breaking the rules right and left, watch out. The police aren’t there just to be admired in their uniforms. God also has an interest in keeping order, and he uses them to do it.” (Romans 13.4). On other occasions, we experience the pain of bad choices, and the dramas of misplaced priorities. Each is an opportunity to use one learning in taking a new step towards a better future.
Today’s breakfast moment with memories and Divinity opens a new window for today. I will bring kindness, care, and acceptance with me.
