Truth is powerful. Positive, nurturing, and enlightening truth is extremely powerful. It has the power to alter the course of nations, companies, and the lives of individuals. These two facts seems relatively obvious to many but there is much more to the simple words than revealing a powerful force of change. My experience validates the statement that holistic nurturing truth is one of the most powerful forces in the world if not the universe.
I struggle to explain why I know this to be true. Can it be that time and again I find myself knowing with absolute certainty who is speaking with legitimate authority? Usually the empirical evidence comes long after the words were spoken and heard. In the interim the conclusion has been drawn from the way the body reacts. Does my body clearly get stronger or am I stuck in a sense of neutral despondency? If the body strengthens then it is very likely that what I have heard is true.
There is a growing body of science that recognizes this premise to be true and continues to develop factual evidence to support what I accept partially on faith. The scary part is that I can see an ongoing pool of evidence based on people reacting to my words. When I am truthful and positively motivated incredible things happen. What happens when I couple truth with the wrong motivation? It is as if everyone knows before I speak! If I date stretch the truth and look to get even nothing works!
I wake to find a gorgeous day. Everything is possible. Anything is achievable. What happens next is totally up to me. Yet there is a truth statement that changes everything. John records the words. “Every person the Father [God] gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don't let go.” (John 6.37)
My prayer is you run free in the arms of God today; you know what it is like to be loved and cherished and that this truth sets you free.
