Nine years ago, I received a turntable as a gift. Initially, I used it with my TV system. I understood I was missing the true sounds captured on my vinyl records. With time, I found a simple (cheap) answer that took the natural sounds from the vinyl to the speakers and onto my ears. My solution was found with a five-tube amplifier and a 2-tube pre-amp. When I upgraded the five tubes to new original stock (NOS) tubes, I was stunned. It was as if I was listening to Bill Evans, Art Pepper, and others in the small jazz club live!
I start today looking forward to an evening dinner with friends. There will also be some late 50’s early 60’s jazz on the turntable. Natural, committed, and expressive. Each tube has a role in the outcome. I may focus on one, but it is in the harmony and contribution of the whole that the story is told.
Experience is the music of our lives. It is the record of living, relationships, and the results of these coming together. When harmony combines with kindness, care, commitment, and excellence, the results are memories that last forever. It takes every element in its measure. As I think of great events, each is grounded in the little things that combine to take the result to a place no one imagined.
Heart and commitment used with love will take the small things of life and amplify them. We experience the impact of love, care, and kindness that changes the giver and receiver from the inside out. Often, givers never realise the impact s/he had on someone on their journey. That is the beauty of it all! When you bring this into focus, I understand the writer’s divine insight; “When he presents his honored Son to the world, he says, ‘All angels must worship him.’” (Hebrews 1.6). This is your model of sacrificial love, unconditional acceptance, and committed care.
The steps in our lives may seem small, yet they speak volumes. Each move is a speaker revealing our heart and soul.
