In the midst of the battle it is often hard to know exactly where one is located. The battle could be life’s survival, a relationship, corporate politics, a fight with one’s neighbor, or even something as simple as getting from point A to B. In every case the data and information you need is all around you but comprehension often remains illusive!
The answer always lies in a cry for help. Beware though; the next challenge will come in accepting, living with, and acting on the answer!
If I was asked if I knew where I was, there are two answers. First, I have no idea. Second, I am exactly where I am supposed to be with God. Both are compatible with each other yet there is something that one easily puts to the side when the pressure of life is not at maximum. Where am I in relationship to the overwhelming aspects of death, disease, and lost souls? The simple answer is this – I have no answer other than to cry out to God in my pain and wonder aloud as to when he will avenge the wrongs in my life. I’m not the first or the last in this predicament!
“When he ripped off the fifth seal, I saw the souls of those killed because they had held firm in their witness to the Word of God. They were gathered under the Altar, and cried out in loud prayers, “How long, Strong God, Holy and True? How long before you step in and avenge our murders?” Then each martyr was given a white robe and told to sit back and wait until the full number of martyrs was filled from among their servant companions and friends in the faith.” (Revelation 6.9-11)
God invites you and me to journey with the Spirit. There are many battles behind and in front of us. Some of us have and will suffer beyond our ability to survive. Others of us will wish we didn’t. Yet the promise of faith is there for all.
Where are you?
