Ignorance is a dangerous thing. With ignorance you can go into a room fully confident and get away with it. With ignorance you can sleep well, knowing that you have made the best decision given the circumstance. With ignorance you can approach tomorrow using your abilities of today, because today you overcame the enemies and conquered the oppressors. With ignorance anything is possible.
Did you realize that most financial investment decisions are made by individuals who are in a many ways ignorant of the risks? Have you considered the fact that many who are confident are only so because they do not know the whole story? How many times has knowing what you know been the key to success?
The key in many a bold move comes from not knowing how big the risk, opposition, or hurdles are in front. You could easily argue that the lack of data and information has little if any bearing on how you live life and you would probably be right; however, how confident are you that you have complete understanding of everything that is going on around you?
Do you understand the person of the opposite sex that shares your journey? Do you understand how external influences are changing your value system? Do you have a full understanding of how to influence your friends?
“Among leaders who lack insight, abuse abounds, but for one who hates corruption, the future is bright.” (Proverbs 28.16) Said positively, those who hate what is evil and at the same time seek compassion, mercy, and fairness will do the right thing, through periods of knowing and unknowing. Knowledge is never the key, the answer lies in principles and process.
