I sat, waiting for my meeting. I looked through the window towards Abu Dhabi, reflecting on the perspective and framework of the past, present, and future. The office was the central location for a start-up accelerator. I could feel the energy and dreams of the individuals sharing the space. They were committed, energised, and resilient. If they needed inspiration, they could turn their eyes towards the city that had been, at one time within memory, composed of dusty roads that marked the end of the line. The vision continues to grow, with even more to be realised.
As the day begins, I sit, exploring my vision and the possible. Reliving yesterday with a different view, I reflect on the perspective and framework of the past, present, and future. So much has been accomplished, and there is even more to come.
As much as I enjoyed yesterday, life is found in this moment. The idea that things are finished is one that I find puzzling. It is good to mark a milestone, celebrating the steps and outcomes. It is also helpful to know the journey continues! I hear the cry of old; “We’re not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We’ll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way.” (Hebrews 10.39) I love the past for the celebrations and relationships I carry with me. Most of all, I love the lessons that life has given me. I am holding an opportunity to put my best care into action.
Yesterday’s view is different from today’s and even more so tomorrow. I see my surroundings through a lens infused with living illustrations of beauty, care, and community. Each experience enriches the frame through which I see individuals and events. I feel as if it is a gift wrapped up as an invitation. I see new ways to engage and express myself as I strive to make a difference.
My vision continues to evolve and grow. It is more than reframing or fresh words. It is the realisation of the importance of harmony, community, and action with positive intent.
