I love it when one individual catches the vision. I immediately know that two things are guaranteed to happen over time. The first is of minor importance, it is the sense of satisfaction that I receive from everything that is going to happen. The fact that something good is going to happen is a certainty. What isn’t clear and will not be visible until time has passed is exactly what will happen. The individual or group of individuals has the vision and in many ways is writing the script as they go along. The second fact is that something dramatic, unforeseen by others, and awesome is going to happen. This process will change the persons involved from the inside out in a way that forever clothes them in a new way of looking at life.
The results are dramatic. Not only are new vistas achievable but the future takes on a brand new perspective! The potential of everyone involved steps up a full level or two. Now, as I would say at work, we are ready to rock and roll. This only is possible because the vision is in action.
Equally true is the opposite. There re times when every step occurs as if scripted. The right words come out, the actions follow the pattern, and the progress reports indicate achievements. Yet the intense observer knows that something is wrong.
God is intensely involved in your affairs and mine. The Divine made this observation about one group of people.
“I see right through your work. You have a reputation for vigor and zest, but you’re dead, stone dead.” (Revelation 3.1)
This is exciting. If he is watching them he is engaged with us. We have God with us and for us! We have a unique opportunity to make a difference, for ourselves and for everyone who touches our lives. This is a chance to write and change history. This is our moment to act! This could make the difference between really living and idly watching things go by. I am not going to let it go!
