“Get me out of this dungeon so I can thank you in public. Your people will form a circle around me and you’ll bring me showers of blessing!” Psalm 142.7
Confidence is infectious. You can see the dramatic impact confidence carries in sport, raising the level of individual and team to heights they rarely imagine. I find the same relationship in the daily walk. Knowing with certainty where priorities lie, understanding the issues in context of a bigger, truer picture, and placing trust in areas of strength makes a difference. The difference is not small rather it is a big difference!
My walk is different because I know God. Knowing God, especially as I see more and more of His people forming a circle around me, breeds a level of humble confidence that is totally new. The situation is actually more intensely the same as before. The jams and pressures of life are increasing to levels I never imagined. The need to totally depend on God is reaching desperate proportions. The risk of failure is obvious, ever present, and frequently realized. With the intensity increasing, I can say with confidence that my walk is different.
The fact is that I am not unique. Everyone I know is facing the same types of challenges, different colors, and hues with wide range in the size and weights. Life is more complex, more difficult, more challenging, and more ambiguous than ever before. Time keeps getting fuller no matter how many attempts we make to reduce the content. We are all in a similar boat.
The solution I found and continue to experience is yours if you want it. It does not require special access, privilege, or position. In fact, your money, position, and ego will only get in the way!
All you need to do is believe in God and His offer. Your acceptance opens the door. Your pursuit takes you into a new position here and now. This is really the end of the story, and the beginning of new adventure! Hold on, the ride will be wild!
